Penny Boxes

Ash, MDF, Yew, Veneers, Chipboard, Douglas Fir, Plywood & Copper

2012

A project aimed at identifying the value of wood. Using the boxes as a survey method, people putting a penny in the box they believed to be 'most valuable' 'least valuable' 'most beautiful' least beautiful' etc. I discovered the reasons why people value certain materials. Producing a range of data which I have applied to the materials I use now in other projects.
